Brief history
It all started back in 1995 when Gerard Hall (Food Technologist) designed the very first Carboshotz Energy Gel for a good friend. It went a little like this “Gerard, help me out, I am sick of hitting the wall at the 28km mark of the marathon. That was the beginning, a friend in need was the catalyst, now athletes the world over are experiencing the benefits that Shotz products can provide.

Interestingly Shotz was developed originally for endurance events but now is being used in all types of sports and activities. From sports lasting as little as three minutes through to multi-day events, from ball sports to water sports and everything in between.

All Shotz products are formulated using research and findings from independent studies on sports performance. This provides an unbiased approach on the design and manufacture of each product. Talented Food Technologists take this independent information and use their expertise to create products that reflect the premium quality nutrition that athletes have come to expect of the Shotz brand.

The Shotz crew are particularly fussy about the type of ingredients that are used for each and every product, for instance the very low or no sugar content in each of the Shotz products. A huge emphasis is placed on the manufacture, quality control and consistency of each production. In fact the Shotz Energy Gels and Shotz Electrolyte Tablets are manufactured in pharmaceutical grade factories which exceed the normal food standards.
